Misheard Song Lyrics

So we were coming back from the grocey store today (in short sleeves - beautiful warm sunny day!) when the old "Godzilla" song came on. Amy asked who sang it, and for the life of me I couldn't remember. While looking up the answer on Google (it was the Blue Oyster Cult), I came across this collection of misheard song lyrics:

Some are brilliant!

Nothing unusual. Probably the only really California thing was the fresh-squeezed orange juice (i.e. not made winterized and durable for shipping to Canada). Mmm... tasty! :-)

Yeah, Neuba, I've slacked off on my "always buy a fruit or veg you haven't seen before" policy. But I was tempted. They said these were "decorative." Heh.

they're called mondegreens. There are plenty books about them. one of my favourites, since living in the boxcar house with Sky, was CCR's "There's a bathroom on the right". Because there was. A bathroom on the right.

Ahh yes, the juice. High among my memories of my first trip to the tropics was my first exposure to what real juice tastes like. Closely linked to that memory was the pain of all the sores I got inside my mouth from overdosing on that sweet, sweet juice. :)

BTW, nobody noticed that I my orginal comment was poking fun -

Man, I love that tune. Let me know if you have more song name troubles in the future.

Bass guitar solo in "Godzilla" rocks socks.
